Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) is an autonomous, not-for-profit national institute established in 1983. It focuses on entrepreneurship education, research, training, capacity building, and institution building across India and internationally.
Founded with support from top financial institutions — IDBI Bank Ltd., ICICI Ltd., IFCI Ltd., and State Bank of India (SBI) — and the Government of Gujarat, EDII started to promote entrepreneurship when it was a relatively new concept in India.
